What Is Home Boarding?

Home boarding is a home away from home style dog sitting service, where your dog will stay at The Canine Guest House overnight whilst you are away.

Your dog will stay with up to 4 other friendly, social dogs plus the resident dog Yogi the Labrador. All home boarding businesses should be licensed by Wirral Borough Council - The Canine Guest House has a 4 star license, is fully insured and is dog first aid trained.

What Does A Day Here Include?

Daily walks to either the beach, best parks and Wirral Way
Daily enrichment activites such as sit and stay treat time, digging in the sandpit, splashing in the paddling pool, hunting for bacon bubbles, playing in the ballpit and snuffle mat fun!
Playing and socialising with the other dogs staying as guests
Unlimited cuddles from staff and naps on the sofas whenever they like
Daily updates of what your dog has been getting up to

The Benefits of Choosing The Canine Guest House

A traditional kennels or dog hotel can be a very stressful environment for a dog.

At The Canine Guest House, there are all the comforts of living at home, like they are used to, and we follow the normal daily routine of your dog.

Its stress-free, there are settling in periods to make sure your dog is suitable for home boarding and they get to socialise and play with other friendly dogs whenever they like. Basically its like a holiday for your dog too!!

How To Enroll

We have a THREE STEP enrollment process, which makes sure all dogs are suitable for home boarding and to let them get to know me at The Canine Guest House at least a few times before their stay.

STEP ONE

Book a consultation here at The Canine Guest House for an initial meet & greet, which allows me to answer all your questions and go over all dogs details ready for any future stays.

Please note, this appointment is without your dog as their will be other boarding dogs present.

STEP TWO

Book in a 3 hour Settling in Period which is £10 per dog, where your dog can meet my resident dog Yogi and any other canine guests I have on that day. This allows us to make sure your dog is suitable for home boarding and gives them time to get to know us all a bit more!

STEP THREE

The last step is an overnight stay, which is £30, here at The Canine Guest House to make sure your dog is comfortable staying overnight with us and really helps create a trusting and lasting bond between me and your dog before their first holiday here.

What Is Home Based Doggy Day Care?

Similar to Home Boarding, Home Based Doggy Day Care is a great alternative to a large doggy day care centre or just leaving your dog on their own when you go out for the day or go to work. Drop your dog off in the morning at The Canine Guest House knowing they will have a great day with their doggy friends and pick them up nice and tired in the evening on your way home. Only home boarding clients are being accepted for day care with us at the moment.

The Benefits of Choosing The Canine Guest House

Sometimes large doggy day care centres can be a bit too much for some dogs, or you may prefer for there to be less dogs in attendance.

Here at The Canine Guest House, we have a license for a maximum of 5 dog guests plus our resident labrador Yogi. This allows there to be lots of one to one attention for each dog, a calmer atmosphere (most of the day!) and as its a home from home environment, your dog will be at ease in a similar set up to their house.
